Shah Alam, Klang to face water cuts next week

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd has announced that there will be water cuts around Klang and Shah Alam next week.
Certain areas in Shah Alam and Klang will experience temporary water disruption from 9pm on December 21 until 6am the next day due to replacement and maintenance work at the reservoir.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement that replacement of critical equipment was being carried out to improve the water treatment system.
“Consumers affected by the water disruption are advised to store sufficient water before December 21. After the valves replacement work is completed, water supply will be restored in stages within 24 hours starting 6am on December 22,” he said.
Among the areas affected are Pekan Meru; Kampung Meru; Persiaran Hamzah Alang; Klang Sentral, Meru; Jalan Haji Abdul Manan; Kampung Bukit Kapar; Pekan Kapar; Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar; Kampung Sungai Serdang; Felda Bukit Cherakah; and Kampung Cherakah Jaya.
