DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside completes refurbishment, unveils year-long programme
KUALA LUMPUR: The DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, which completed its refurbishment last month, has revealed the DoubleTree Studio Residency, a year-long programme in collaboration with Segaris Art Center.

The programme invites three local artists to reside at the hotel for four months each, providing them with dedicated studio space to work on their masterpieces.

The artists' creations will be prominently featured during the monthly Seni Weekends held at the hotel.
The programme is geared towards establishing a sustainable ecosystem that fosters stronger cultural connections between DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside and emerging mid-career artists, paving the way for their future growth and success.

It is also part of Hilton's Travel with Purpose programme, a global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy that is aimed at creating positive environmental and social impact among communities across the globe.

Jamie Mead, senior director of operations for Southeast Asia, said the hotel is on a mission to embrace the essence of Malaysian culture.

"The DoubleTree Studio Residency promises to leave an indelible mark on the local art scene. Here, talented artists will weave the tapestry of the country's heritage through their art, offering a captivating glimpse into Malaysia's soul.

"Not only will it enrich our hotel's allure for international travellers, but it will also beckon them to savour an authentic Malaysian experience where creativity and culture intertwine in perfect harmony," he said.

Perched on the southern end of Putrajaya Lake, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya offers 14 accommodation types, Makan Kitchen, THE KOFFEE, 22 meeting rooms spanning a total of 3,773 square metres, and the Grand Ballroom.
