Natural Air Fresheners: Your anti Odour Solution from Nature
Running a home can sometimes be stressful and all you want to do is relax and put your feet up. However, before you can do that, you discover a weird smell coming from somewhere in the house. Oh no! It’s that pizza you forgot to keep in the fridge yesterday and now it is stinking up the entire house from the kitchen to the living room.

Well, the only way to deal with this is to bring out your air fresheners. However, some people just can’t stand the scent of artificial, chemically infused air fresheners from a can. So, what can you do?

Here are some natural and environmentally friendly ways you can solve your home malodour problems without the need to spend a fortune:

1. Open the windows and turn your fan on. Create a straight one way airflow by opening the windows or doors at the front and back of the house.

2. Bake some cakes, cookies or bread and it will give your house a rich, sweet and homely aroma.

3. Put some essential oils on an oil burner. Essential oil are the natural oils extracted from various fruits, herbs and spices.

4. Set out bowls of kitty litter, diatomaceous earth or charcoal in damp places that have smelly wet odours, like the shoe cupboard.

5. Fresh ground coffee powder is a good idea for coffee lovers. You can either mix it with hot water or roast some in a pan on your stove.

6. Use fresh fruits and flowers. These not only help give mild natural scents, they look beautiful too.

7. To get rid of greasy smells after cooking, boil some water in a saucepan and add spices like cinnamon as well as some lemon.

8. Create a potpourri by filling a permeable sachet with dried flowers, herbs and dried fruits. Hang these around the house.

9. Leaving a bowl of vinegar in your kitchen will soak up oily cooking smells.

10. Use baking soda and mix a few drops of essential oils. Put this mixture in a jar and cover with a piece of paper, then poke holes in the paper with a needle.

Hopefully these methods can help make your home a more pleasant and warm place to live, especially with all that herbal, fruity scents!
